Lichens: An Introductory Hands-On Workshop
Whatever your level of familiarity with lichens, this hands-on workshop will introduce you to a diverse array of common lichens. You will learn how to differentiate one lichen from another by looking at lichens with hand lenses and stereoscopes. You will also use spot tests to determine the lichen chemistry of a species. As you study features in lichen collections, you will practice using descriptive terms that will inform your use of lichen field guides, keys, and online resources.
